ROCKSTAR™ Mud Flaps Tips
Full Width Tow Flap Recommendations
RIGHT HEIGHT
Ensure 5 to 8 inches of ground clearance and at least 3 inches when loaded to prevent dragging and potential damage. If an excessively heavy load lowers clearance below minimum, temporarily remove mud flaps to avoid issues.
PROPER EXHAUST CLEARANCE
To prevent heat damage, ensure exhaust fumes are not directed or redirected toward the vehicle or mud flaps. For OEM dual exhaust systems, remove perforated sections. An optional heat shield is available if needed.
DRIVE EFFICIENT
When not towing, remove tow flaps to improve fuel economy by reducing wind drag and prevent potential damage when driving over large obstacles. Tow flaps can catch snow when reversing, creating resistance and putting stress on components.
SAFETY FIRST
Never attach or hook anything to your tow flaps, as this can cause safety hazards and damage. Regularly inspect and tighten all mud flap bolts and nuts to ensure secure attachment.
