What is the standard ground clearance for the rubber on ROCKSTAR™ Mud Flaps?
Recommended ground clearance is 5 to 7 in. Suggested clearance with a load is 3 in. minimum to prevent mud flaps from dragging.
How thick is the rubber used on ROCKSTAR™ Mud Flaps?
The ROCKSTAR™ Splash Guard Mud Flaps and ROCKSTAR™ Full Width Tow Flap rubber is 5/16 in. thick, ROCTECTION™ and ROXTER™ Hitch Mounted Mud Flaps utilize 3/8 in. thick rubber while the ROCKSTAR™ Hitch Mounted Mud Flaps rubber is 1/2 in. thick.
What size clamp comes standard with hitch mounted mud flaps?
The 2 in. clamp comes standard. If needed, 2-1/2 in. ball mount can be ordered for ROCKSTAR™, ROCTECTION™ and ROXTER™ Hitch Mounted Mud Flaps.
What sizes of ball mounts work with the hitch mounted mud flaps?
Our towing mud flaps are designed to work with 2 in. ball mounts. A larger clamp can be ordered to accommodate a 2-1/2 in. ball mount for ROXTER™, ROCKSTAR™ and ROCTECTION™ Hitch Mounted Mud Flaps.
Will your hitch mounted mud flaps work with my aftermarket suspension or oversized tires?
ROCKSTAR™ Hitch Mounted Mud Flaps with trim to fit rubber have 24 in. of trimmable height to accommodate for aftermarket suspensions, lift kits and oversized tires. ROCTECTION™ and ROXTER™ Hitch Mounted Mud Flaps rubber come standard with 24 in. of trimmable height.
Are the 3XL mud flaps only for dually trucks?
The 3XL towing mud flaps are ideal for dually trucks like the Ford F-350 Super Duty, Ram 3500 HD, GMC Sierra 3500 HD and the Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD. These towing mud flaps also fit 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton models. If you have a wide trailer or need the best in protection the 3XL is a great choice.
Will ROCKSTAR™ Hitch Mounted Mud Flaps fit my midsize truck?
We offer a midsize universal model of the ROCKSTAR™ Hitch Mounted Mud Flaps to fit trucks like the Ford Ranger, Toyota Tacoma, Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon and Nissan Frontier. These towing mud flaps are only available in the Large size.
Will ROCKSTAR™ Hitch Mounted Mud Flaps fit my SUV?

Will ROCKSTAR™ Hitch Mounted Mud Flaps fit my Ram's dual exhaust?
Universal ROCKSTAR™ Hitch Mounted Mud Flaps are designed to work with 09-18 Dodge Ram factory dual exhaust. Large holes on each side of the frame line up with the dual exhaust, simply cut the rubber out at these perforated locations for unrestricted exhaust flow.
Will ROCKSTAR™ Hitch Mounted Mud Flaps fit my trucks OEM dual exhaust?
Model Specific ROCKSTAR™ Hitch Mounted Mud Flaps are designed to work with factory dual exhaust. Large holes on each side of the frame line up with the dual exhaust, simply cut the rubber out at these perforated locations for unrestricted exhaust flow.
Are ROCKSTAR™ Full Width Tow Flaps model specific or universal?
We currently only offer model specific options for our full width tow guards.
What is the width of ROCKSTAR™ Full Width Tow Flaps?
Full width tow guards are currently 82 in. wide. However, you can increase your coverage to 95 in. wide by adding a ROCKSTAR™ Tow Flap Extension. Depending on your model, ROCKSTAR™ Commercial Tow Flaps start at 82 in. wide for HD trucks and extend all the way up to 94 in. wide for dually pick-up trucks.
Will ROCKSTAR™ Full Width Tow Flaps work with my aftermarket suspension or oversized tires?
The ROCKSTAR™ Full Width Tow Flap with adjustable rubber has an extra 4 inches of rubber height to accommodate for oversized tires, aftermarket suspensions and lift kits. ROCKSTAR™ Commercial Tow Flap is not recommended for pick-up trucks with aftermarket suspensions, lift kits or oversized tires.
Will ROCKSTAR™ Full Width Tow Flaps work with my truck's OEM dual exhaust?
The ROCKSTAR™ Full Width Tow Flap's model specific frame is perforated for your specific OEM dual exhaust. Simply cut the metal at the perforated locations for unrestricted exhaust flow. The model specific ROCKSTAR™ Commercial Tow Flap's extra thick rubber is specifically cut to accommodate for OEM exhaust and will come with the appropriate heat shield, if needed.
Are ROCKSTAR™ Splash Guard Mud Flaps model specific or universal?
We offer Model Specific Splash Guards and three different styles of Universal Splash Guards.
Will I need to remove my tires to install ROCKSTAR™ Splash Guard Mud Flaps?
Our mud guards can be mounted to the wheel well without having to remove your tires.
Do ROCKSTAR™ Splash Guard Mud Flaps require drilling for installation?
Yes, drilling is required along with a structurally sound mounting surface.
Can I get both front and rear ROCKSTAR™ Splash Guard Mud Flaps for my vehicle?
Our behind the wheel mud flaps are designed to fit both front and rear fender wells. A solid mounting surface is required for installation.
Will ROCKSTAR™ Splash Guard Mud Flaps work with oversized tires?
Yes, our ROCKSTAR™ Hybrid Splash Guard Mud Flaps are designed with a backward bend for increased tire clearance.
Are ROCKSTAR™ Splash Guard Mud Flaps available for dually trucks?
Yes, we specifically designed the Dually mud flaps in the ROCKSTAR™ Hybrid Splash Guard Mud Flap line for dually pick-up trucks.
