" So far they look & work great. I had a hard time finding a hitch with the receiver long enough to fit the flaps. I had 5-6 hitches around my house, some were 2" and a couple were 2.5", but none would work. Barrowed one from a friend that did work. Eventually I ended up purchasing a hitch from ACI that I knew would work. Now everything fits as it should. They'd get 5 stars if they'd have fit better. "

" Bought the XL hitch mount flaps almost a year ago. I'm happy to report that they look good on my HD GMC. I can take them off when not needed, saving a little fuel, and not look like a redneck 24/7. :-) I installed myself, but needed some assistance from customer service. They were great! This bracket is very strong, but aluminum helps with weight. Definitely built to last! Just be careful to buy hitch with a long shank, so the bracket will fit between the ball and the bumper. I give them my highest recommendation. I'm very pleased. "

" Very nice product. Assembly was easy. American bolts, no metric! Looks great on our truck. So far it has cut down the rock damage on our trailer. The flaps are nice and thick. Ours has one curl in slightly and the other curl out. Hopefully with more use they will straighten out. I would be nice if you placed an FYI that you might need an extended length drawbar with these. These will not work if you an Weightsafe adjustable draw bar. It states that in the instructions but would be if it was in the web description. I had to order one before I was able to install ours. Great product, definitely would buy again. Customer service was great! "

" I like the flaps so far. You Really need to change the installation instructions. I cant remember now but it was something that said to do this and then further down in the instruction it said if you have this flap do this, so I had to take it apart and start over. "

" I am giving my review five stars but with a warning to other customers. DO NOT use an impact to tighten the hitch clamp system. I have just a cheaper Ryobi impact and it ruined the threads on a couple of them. So to resolve I have to buy a cutoff tool and grind them off. I tried so hard to remove the stripped ones that the carriage bolts (with the square inside) spun in the aluminum channel and wrecked that as well. So I will have to replace with plain hex bolts that go on the outside of the channel. I've never had this impact ruin hardware before... so I'm not sure what that was all about. The only knock on the product itself is that I wish they'd smooth the edges of the aluminum a little bit. They are so sharp that I have to put gloves on to handle it. I got mine the standard length for a 2016 RAM 1500 and I had to trim about 1.5" off. On perfectly flat ground they were almost touching but with any undulation of the ground they'd drag way too hard. Overall, a very well made product. Very heavy duty. I expect it to last the life of my truck. "

" Fit and finish are great. Mounting system is great. The assembly instructions do not mention the exhaust shields that come with the GMC dual exhaust version. Some trial and error was required to get them and the mud flap braces in the right place. The braces also partially cover the exhaust outlets when installed. "

" When we ordered the Rockstar mud flaps we requested the package for the 2021 Ford F-350. The new Super Duty Ford comes with a 2.5 - 3.0 inch shank. Our kit came with. 2.0 in shank. I called and they sent me out the right size and I had it in two days. I love these they look good on the truck and do a great job with keeping the rocks away from our trailer. "

" Very easy to install and works perfect! It also looks really nice as well! I have a B&W Tow and Stow hitch and it is a very tight fit to get the hitch pin in the receiver but I was able to make it work. Shorter outside tabs would have made it easier. "

" I recently purchased your Rockstar 3XL and the 2-1/2" mounting clamp for my Chevy dually. I love how it looks and can't wait to see how it works keeping my trailer safe. I am sure it will work perfectly. I was very happy with how easy it was to assemble and mount. The only thing I have an issue with is how the clamp had to be mounted to the face of the frame, since the receiver on my truck sticks out to far for the bumper stabilizers to contact the bumper with the clamp mounted on the back of the frame. I know you are aware of the issue, since the instructions indicate this might be a problem, and to mount the clamp to the face of the frame if this happens. My only concern with this setup is the nuts holding the clamp to the frame are very visible and easily accessible. Maybe I am being a bit paranoid, but I believe this might give some people an incentive to attempt to remove the flaps from my truck. I have a suggestion that you might, or might not, want to consider. Why not make the bumper stabilizers adjustable? It wouldn't be difficult to accomplish, and would make it possible to use the clamp as intended. It would also greatly improve the looks of the entire mudflap. I realize that this will add a bit to the cost of these things but, it should be a minimal increase, if any at all. "

" I tow my boat down a gravel road to get to where I need to launch. For years, I have been trying to find a solution, to keep it from being damaged, that wasn't a permanent mounted mudflap. These ROCKSTAR mud flaps appear to be the answer to my quest. Honestly, wish I had found them 15 years ago -- would have saved a lot of damage to my trailers. My initial impression upon opening the box was WOW. The quality of materials truly impressed me before I even started. Living in the Midwest rust belt, I really appreciate the use of heavy aluminum for the frame, and how many companies go to the expense of using actual stainless steel hardware anymore? The instructions are easy to read and follow and actual assembly is simple and straightforward. The actual mudflaps are thicker than the ones on my semi. Everything about these says quality. The savings in reduced damage to trailers and boats makes them worth every cent. "

" Love the extra wide coverage, the height of the flaps, the thickness of the materials, the quality and easiness of the installation. I'm 71 and did it by myself in a few hours. My only complaint is that the flaps are packaged with opposite roll of the material. Therefore one makes a 'C' forward and the other one backward when mounted. Looks weird, and it has not "fallen out" after continous use for 3 weeks on an extended trip. "

" I was excited to put the Rockstar on my truck so I wouldn't have to worry about rocks damaging the boats I deliver. I had one of those broom style protectors in the past. It didn't really do anything. I still had to worry what I would find when I got out of the truck. " This product is wonderful. It is the first hitch mount mud guard I have seen that is stable, with no significant wobble in the receiver, even when inside a 2" sleeve that is in a 2 1/2" receiver. The four other custom contacts with the bumper on the truck eliminate that. Of further note, Curt from your product returns department was both helpful and prompt. Nothing chincey about these at all. Well worth the $$$$$ spent!I was able to transfer from my 2013 1500 Laramie to my newer 2500 Laramie. However I did need to order the replacement rubber flaps due to the 2500 does not have dual exhaust out the rear like the 1500 did. I called in to ask if it was possible, it was, I ordered them and all is well. Thank you for the great customer service as well. "

" Simple to install, if you don't mind drilling. A right-angle adapter for your cordless drill is quite useful for the install. The only issue I have with them is they are a little more difficult to get clean. My pressure washer does the trick, but it takes a few moments to get them clean, due to the texture of the material. They're tougher than the molded plastic stuff sold online, and designed for brutal winters. They do what they are supposed to do, and support North Dakota jobs. "

" I ordered the vehicle specific Rockstar to protect trailers. I have a 3500 and they come with a 2.5" receiver hitch. I was disappointed the standard order comes with a 2" receiver mount so it would not fit my 2.5" hitch I was using. I needed find a 2" receiver hitch and sleeve. Contacted ACI and they were very helpful letting me know there is a 2.5" mounting hardware set. Annoyed that a vehicle specific application does not have the options when ordering. I think it was less than $15 for the hardware set and now I can use 2" or 2.5" as I need. Add the option for applicable sizes to the online ordering and this would have been a 5 star review. I love the look and it is very sturdy. It doesn't wiggle around back there when it is mounted and adjusted correctly. I worried about the 2 protector tabs against the back of the vehicle bumper rubbing marks. If you make sure the bumper is clean then it doesn't leave any real marks. I didn't like the look of the plastic discs on my bumper and I figured if it was going to rub through the protectors, then that thin clear disc wasn't going to do much either. I put some gasket maker material in in the protector before mounting to add some cushion in case it did move around but don't seem to need it. I don't leave it on all the time and taking it off takes about 5 minutes and a 9/16 wrench. You don't have to take it apart, just need to loose 4 nuts to allow it to slide off the receiver hitch. I use my Rockstar with a B&W Tow & Stow ball hitch and they work great together. and you get full function of both products when mounted together. I also have an Access Lorado roll-up cover on this truck. This is the 4th vehicle I have put a Lorado cover on. They outlast the vehicle every time but the new owners always want the roll-up cover kept with the vehicle when I sell them. I'm a very happy ACI customer. " I got these mud flaps for my 2012 Duramax. They were easy to put on and take off. Just slide them on till they stop and the pin lines up. The mud flaps look great, seem very durable and protected my boat. I didn't have to alter my exhaust system because these mud flaps have a heat shield that deflects heat from the exhaust system even when towing large loads. The diamond plate looks good on my truck. "
